Expert Meeting on Artificial Intelligence in Law with the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava

On 23 July 2025, an inspiring expert meeting took place between representatives of law firm soukeník — štrpka s. r. o. and experts from the Department of Commercial and Economic Law of the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava. The discussion was conducted in the spirit of the current and dynamically developing topic of the use of artificial intelligence in legal practice.

This event, organised within the framework of the research project AILE – Artificial Intelligence for Legal Professions, aimed to connect the theoretical knowledge of the academic environment with real experience from legal practice.

The discussion focused not only on the benefits of technologies such as:

• document automation
• case-law analysis
• predictive models

but also on the challenges that require a responsible and ethical approach to their use. Particular attention was devoted to issues of legal liability, data protection, and the ethical frameworks that should accompany the implementation of AI in legal services.

We are proud that, as a law firm, we can contribute to shaping the discourse on the future of law in the digital age.

We believe that cooperation between practice and the academic world is the key to ensuring that the law is able to respond flexibly to technological progress while at the same time preserving its values.
